The 2nd Annual Sasquatch Trail Run brought many new faces to the Dry Creek Preserve in search of Bigfoot. The river was at the highest level recorded according to the folks at the Sequoia Riverlands Trust that own the Preserve. Bridges had to be constructed with the help of Mike Castro from KRC Safety in Visalia.
FYE Events took over the Sasquatch Trail Run in early March 2019 and had one goal…To draw as many new runners to the event and especially road runners that don’t compete on trails. Local Sponsors included:
A Sasquatch Leaps out of the trees Julia Johnson wins 1st overall female Virtual Run Grows The trend of virtual runs has continued to grow and we heavily marketed the event on Facebook and Instagram. A total of 19 virtual runners completed the race including Corrie, a runner from Maine, as the furthest away. She completed her 5k run where she lives and we mailed her swag to her. We continue to grow virtual runs in all our races , but this event had our best participation at 10% being virtual. Next Year’s EventStay tuned and we will announce our 2020 date…and we hear the Sasquatch are multiplying at the Preserve…Expect many more!!
